A very happy crowd of wine enthusiasts is joining us at the twice yearly open vineyard days, usually held in early March and August, celebrating the launch of New Release RENATO wines. The beautiful environment on the Kina peninsula and the company of delightful guests is always a highlight of this venue. Nelsonians and their guests are always delighted to taste the unique, handcrafted Renato wines, together with some lovely lunch platters, while enjoying the scenic views and good company of lovely people..
Our recent vineyard luncheon and wine tasting events in Kina took place in March. A colorful crowd joined us to taste our new release wines, the full bodied yet elegant Chardonnay 2008, made in a traditional Burgundian style, and the exciting and silky smooth Pinot Gris 2008. RENATO Wines are listed by some of the Top 20 NZ restaurants A number of Nelson Cafes and Restaurants have decided to feature RENATO Wines on their wine lists, the wines are also available at Fresh Choice Supermarkets in Nelson and Richmond and Casa del Vino in Nelson. A range of Auckland's top Restaurants feature RENATO Wines on their wine lists, located in the CBD, the Wharf, Parnell and Ponsonby. The Wine Vault (Grey Lynn), Point Wines (Northcote) and the Village Winery (Mt Eden) sell our wines. In Wellington and Christchurch, various well-known restaurants list our wines. Rumbles and Wine Seeker are our retail shops in Wellington Wine Tasting in Nelson You can taste the RENATO Wines at our open vineyard days or we can arrange a tasting at our tasting facilities at the Glen, just give us a call. Wines can be ordered on-line and delivered to your doorstep via our Website or by faxing your order form.
Sustainable Winegrowing Accreditation Renato's Vineyard on the Kina Peninsula has gained the "Accredited Vineyard Status" of Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand (SWNZ) in 2005. Subsequent reviews by SWNZ auditors have regularly checked, that the vineyard practices were sustainable during the growing season and that the site had been in full compliance with the rules and standards set by SWNZ. Accreditation is re-confimed on an annual basis and Renato's Kina Vineyard is clearly committed to the programme of sustainable viticulture, which equals Integrated Production Status in Switzerland.
